Photos: Local Students Show off Their Moves at DEA Youth Dance Event

Recently, more than 30 students from Issac Sheppard Elementary School put on an energetic performance for the community as part of the DEA Dance Program.

The event marked the end of a 20-week program designed to teach children about healthy lifestyles through the art of dance. To date, the DEA Youth Dance Program has reached over 700 children through school assemblies.

After the performance, local DEA officials praised the dance program's students and instructors. They also promoted the importance of continuing drug education, prevention, parental involvement and conversations, and a healthy drug-free lifestyle. Check out photos of the students dancing below.
