(Jersey Shore Online, May 30)The Ocean County community recently gathered in Little Egg Harbor to talk about the state’s addiction problem at an event entitled “Knock Out Opioid Abuse: A Town Hall Series.”
Local officials, experts and about 100 residents were on hand for the town hall.
“There is not a day that goes by without hearing or seeing a story in our neighborhood or in the media on the impact of the misuse of prescription medication or heroin abuse,” said Rebecca Alfaro, deputy director of the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. “Ocean County is not immune.
