(KOCO 5 News) Leaders from local, state and federal levels gathered in Oklahoma to discuss their ongoing efforts to combat the fentanyl crisis, emphasizing the deadly potential of even small doses and the need for community education and accountability.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration compared a sugar packet to fentanyl pills, noting that it could contain around 500 lethal doses.
"Even part of a pill, even a small dose, can kill." He added, "The fight against fentanyl is in every corner. Not just in Moore, not just in Oklahoma City, but in every corner of both Texas and Oklahoma,” said Todd Gibson, chief of police for the city of Moore.
